Who are Clinical Psychologists

Clinical Psychologists (CPs) are psychologists who specialize in the field of mental health. CPs are licensed health workers registered in the professional council after completing two years of postgraduate training (M. Phil. Clinical Psychology). They provide professional mental health services such as assessment and diagnosis, treatment and prevention of psychological, emotional, psycho-physiological and behavioral disorders across the lifespan. CPs primarily work in the clinical settings as well as in community, rehabilitation settings, research, teaching, supervision etc. CPs provide mental health services directly or support the allied professionals.
